Health Camp in Dhading

We led a team of 7 doctors, 2 nurses, a number of locally based medical staff and several volunteers into a beautiful yet remote area of Nepal. Based in the Dhading District the site for the Health Camp was Jarung School a place unreachable by anything other than walking.

  • Over the course of the day 500+ patients were seen with a variety of illnesses
  • Our pharmacy gave out medicines and other treatments
  • Where on-the-spot treatment was not possible a number of referrals were made for specific tests and procedures
  • 100% of patients who came to the camp were seen by a doctor
  • Conditions diagnosed, treated or referred on included; Tuberculosis, A Failed Abortion, Malnutrition, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Reduced Vision, A Broken Collar Bone, Dizziness, Eye Infections and MUCH moreā€¦
