PROJECT AREA
Nepal is a small Himalayan nation, lies in the lap of the southern Himalayas. This small country has three different geographical regions. In addition to the challenges associated with this unsuitable and unfavorable geographical terrain.Country is divided into five development regions the misery of a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on April 25 was shared the most by Rasuwa followed by other parts of Nepal. Consequently, Rasuwa was declared a red-alert zone by the Nepal government instantly. The disaster claimed over 8,000 lives and affected 8 million people. Langtang Valley alone lost 400 lives, flooded away by an earthquake-triggered avalanche, destroying an entire village and infrastructures. The district is still suffering and needs support from all sides. One of the most affected aspects in the Langtang Valley is education. During our field assessment, we found all but one school currently in operation in the area. The locals are not yet ready to reconstruct schools and send their children in upper parts of the valley due to fear. Before earthquake Shree Nepal Rastrya Basic School have 9 rooms, 8 used as classrooms and1 as a staff room and the number of students of the School are as follows: Total Number of students: 167, Boys students: 110, Girls students: 67. But the 7.8 magnitude quke cracked the school building and makes it dangerouse to use to run the classes and the students of Shree Nepal Rastrya Basic School have no classrooms to study. and post of earthquake total number of students has been decresed and fall down to only 28.

PROJECT PLANING AND STRATEGIES
The proposed project by a series of discussion with the local communities, review of baseline data, and finally HOMES-Nepal decided to planning for total 10 class rooms and the class room size = 23’7”x 14’9” (interior), Students number per class = 30, 1 teachers room, 1 head teacher office and 1 Store + Library room on the total Plinth Area = 7246.58 sq. ft.. Beside that HOMES-Nepal also focuse on the sanitation of school , so that we are planning for 2/2 Urinal room for Boys and Girl and 2/2 toilets for both boys and girls. 2/2 toilets added for teachers for ladies and gents also.HOMES-Nepal have decide to finalize the project within 6 months for using qualified human resource.

BENEFICIARIES/BENEFITS
